The 2008 Ginetta Championship Racesuit

'DMB Racing' is the brand name for me, Debbie Bennett. I am a female racing driver from Hampshire.
 
Racing Career:
 
In 2007, I competed in the Formula Woman Championship. The aim of the Championship was to find the best female racing driver in the UK.

Thousands of women entered the Formula Woman Competition at the beginning of the year and (after several gruelling tests) I was chosen as one of the top 16 women in the country to participate in the Championship. Please see the 2007 Season page for details. The car of choice was a Caterham Roadsport.
 
Thanks to a great deal of support from my title sponsor, I was able to race for the full season with financial backing.
 
In 2008 I completed another year of racing in the Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship, racing a Ginetta G20 race car. My season was unexpectedly cut short due to sponsorship funding, however you can find the race reports here.
 
Sadly I have now had to sell my race car due to financial constraints. I hope this is not the end of DMB Racing though, and that I will be back behind the wheel before long. I wish the new owners lots of good luck and fun with the Ginetta!

Season/Sponsorship Update - June 2008
Unfortunately, due to the current 'credit crunch' climate, my sponsors can no longer provide the original stated funds. I am sad to say that my 2008 Season is now over. Paid for track days will still be going on when requested, but there will be no more races for me.
