Race Report: Cadwell Park - April 2008
Race 1
Sunday 6th April, Cadwell Park
Just about got out for qualifying, had to do last-minute radiator change as mine failed! Qualified 24th.
Dry tyres, unpredictable weather... it started snowing on the grid! Everyone crept off the line... but as the cars started
spinning off, some oil was spilt. Unfortunately I slipped on the oil and lost a lot of time. One car crashed near to the side
of the track and the safety car was deployed. Everyone's tyres were very cold as we were going so slowly (with the ambulance
on track) and so I lost grip coming over 'the mountain'. The car careered towards the central barrier but I managed to control
it to a gentle stop. I jumped out and watched the rest of the race from the pit. Such a shame... but at least the car wasn't
damaged!
My car remained off the track until the end of the race, when the marshalls helped me tow it out of the ditch! No damage thank
goodness :-)

Race 2
Sunday 6th April, Cadwell Park
Qualified 22nd.
Bad start, gears crunched... really put me behind for the rest of the race. I was feeling really un-confident after the earlier
few spins. I just wanted to finish the race in one piece if i'm honest! Which I did... and was happy to finish, although disappointed
with my position.
Grid place: 22nd
Finished: 22nd

All in all, a bad weekends racing!
