Every year, Formula Woman organises an all-female national competition, designed to attract women into motorsport and
to find & develop up-and-coming female racing talent.
The Formula Woman Competition began for me in March 2007 with an application form submitted over the web.
At this point the only track experience I had was an afternoon track day at Thruxton in 2006.
Thanks to a strong application, I got through to the 500 selected for assessments. To get to the last 100 I took part in a
gruelling assessment process in May 2007, comprising of on track driving, karting, fitness, a written test and an interview.

Once I was in the last 100 I started training for the elimination camp taking place on the 3rd and 4th of July 2007. The location
was Llandow circuit, Wales. 100 of the UK's best female drivers attended with the intention of getting into the final 16.

I got through into the final 16 and I raced in the Championship from July until November 2007. I have now completed all 8
races and although I didn't win the Championship it has been an invaluable experience.
